Lalyo Metev is a son of Hristo Metev Hristov – slippers maker. He was born on February 28th ,1885. After graduation of Aprilov’s High School he had graduated a philosophy faculty in Zagreb, faculty in west literature in Geneva, faculty in Slavonic literature at the Sofia University. He was a chief shareholder at “ Saedinenie “ bank, an owner of 100 dca earth in Bankya cement plant “ Lev ” in the city of Pleven. He is one of the wealthy and famous people not only in the city of Gabrovo, but also in the country.
